Maitland District Motorcycle Club Amenities Block

What’s this project about?

Our project will enable disabled people to come and enjoy the Motor Cross. The athletes will have access to showers as Motor Cross is a very dusty and muddy sport. We will also be able to host more major events including Australian Motor Cross National Title Rounds. These major events will have a huge impact on local economy. Socially this will bring another form of entertainment to Community.

Having these amenities makes our Club more appealing to event organizers to choose Maitland. Having facilities to accommodate disabled visitors would be so helpful as they will be able to attend comfortably. Economically we have data from event organizers that this would inject approximately $300,000 - $350,000. Athletes and visitors come from all over Australia for the weekend of racing hopefully staying longer to tour Maitland and The Hunter Valley.

The Amenities block will be supplied by Modus Australia Plumbing and Drainage by Nigel James Plumbing Excavation and concreting by Kams Civil with labour by Club parents/members and committee.

Why should you vote for this project?

  • The Amenities Block provides much needed disabled bathrooms. This will enable disabled visitors to enjoy a day/weekend Motor Cross Racing.
  • Motor Cross is a dusty/muddy sport. Male and Female athletes will be able to shower at the track.
  • This provides an entertainment option for the local community. Local businesses would benefit with an extra 5000 + people visiting.
