Refurbishment of Albury Wodonga Theatre Company's theatre space to improve safety, comfort and facilities for community, audiences and actors.
What’s this project about?
The theatre space is in need of appropriate and accessible theatre seating and the stage, backstage area and foyer is in need of refurbishment to ensure a safe and accessible space for the community. The refurbishment will make available professional level sound and lighting facilities as well as a high quality performance, rehearsal and gathering space for the community.
The Albury Wodonga Theatre Company's theatre is the only community run space in Albury with sound, stage and lighting facilities suitable for productions but is in need of a major refurbishment. The project will refurbish the space to provide accessible and appropriate seating for audiences, a safe and functional stage and backstage area, as well as improve sound and lighting facilities to a quality suitable for community groups and individuals.
The project will be overseen by the management committee of the Albury Wodonga Theatre Company, volunteers and appropriate professional trades people and local business.
