The Richmond Valley Country Music Festival

What’s this project about?

🎸The Richmond Valley Country Music Festival will provide an inexpensive opportunity for community members to participate in their own annual country music festival, either as audience members, or as performers. ‍ ??The project will focus on employing local management, musicians, performers, technicians, private security guards and all workers - an intensely Richmond Valley LGA event.

🎸The project will help keep the villages by-passed by the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway Upgrade alive and well. Industrious, busy and humming. A shot-in-the-arm for New Italy, Woodburn, Broadwater, Coraki, Evans Head and Wardell. The RMS anticipates that Woodburn and Broadwater will be by-passed by Christmas 2019. ‍ ??The project will boost tourism for the Grafton/Lismore/Casino/Ballina districts.

🎸88.9 FM (aka Community Radio Coraki Association Inc), will manage the project. ‍ Guided by its experience in promoting the very successful Summerland Drags and the lifetime experiences of several of its senior members in the Australian film and live concert industry, 88.9 FM is well acquainted with the complexities and hurdles of huge crowds of music fans. ‍ ??Autumn 2020 appears to be the best time.
